Central States
St. Louis Sting fields teams in the Central States Developmental Hockey League. Midget Level 18U, 16U, 16U Prospects & 15U are open district, so all players are eligible. For ages 14U through 9U Sting is a joint venture between the Twin Bridges Lightning and the St. Peters Hockey Club, formed by Missouri Hockey for the purpose of fielding youth teams in the Central States Developmental Hockey League. Teams are for the top-level Tier II players in the above clubs and eligible to the independent clubs of Jefferson City, Springfield MO, and Springfield IL.
Ages
We field teams from 9U through 14U. Midget Level 18U, 16U, 16U Prospects & 15U are open district.
When
Registration opens in Mid-May. Tryouts are always held beginning June 15th and league games begin in September.
Where
Practices
Each team will practice 3-4 times per week. Midget Level will have 2-3 full ice practices per week. All teams will also have off ice workouts during the week.
Games
There are approximately 24-30 league games, depending on the size of the league plus playoffs.
Jerseys
Our Central States teams will wear Sting jerseys. Uniforms are included in the season fees.
Additional Costs
In addition to your season fee, you will be responsible to cover player's travel, tournament fees, team apparel, team bags and other team expenses.

CSDHL Midget Level 2006 to 2009: Camp & Tryout $100, Tryout Only $60. Camp spots are limited. Midget Level is Open District for players 2009 up to 2006 BIRTH YEARS, all players are eligible to tryout. Posting/email will be made after each tryout FOR WHO SHOULD RETURN TO NEXT TRYOUT.
18U, 16U,16U PROSPECTS,15U CSDHL SEASON FEE INCLUDES OFF ICE WORKOUTS, uniforms, practice jersey, team JACKET, Coach’s fee and COACH'S travel expenses. DOES NOT INCLUDE TEAM TOURNAMENTS, PLAYER’S TRAVEL, PLAYER’S APPAREL, TEAM BAG OR OTHER TEAM EXPENSES.
CSDHL 2010's through 2015's: Camp & Tryout $160, Tryout Only $80. Camp spots are limited. TBL, STP and open clubs are eligible TO TRYOUT FOR THE STING.
Season Fee Includes OFF ICE WORKOUTS, UNIFORMS, practice jersey, Coach’s fee and COACH'S travel expenses. Does not include team tournaments, player’s travel, player’s apparel, team bag or other team expenses. Each player to attend the first 2 tryout nights for their age level. POSTING/EMAIL WILL BE MADE AFTER THE 2ND & 3RD TRYOUT FOR WHO SHOULD RETURN TO NEXT TRYOUT.
